Godly Play (1st thru 5th grade) Offered Sept. - May
Also a Montessori-based Christian education program, designed for elementary aged children. Children not only hear the great stories of the Bible, but are given space to wonder, ask questions, and respond to the stories they hear. Lots of hands-on storytelling allow the children to use all their senses in the learning process- hearing, seeing, touching, as well as smelling and tasting as we conclude each lesson with a mini-feast, in preparation for the Eucharist. Class begins at 9:00 a.m., in the room located in the basement of the church.

Confirmation (Circa 5th Grade thru 8th Grade)
Confirmation is an important sacramental step in the journey of any young person who wishes to publicly profess faith in Jesus Christ in the Episcopal tradition. The class will be set up in seven four or five-week sessions over the course of two years, with confirmation planned for the spring of 2012. For example, the first session will run from September 19th through October 17th for five consecutive weeks; then there will be a three week break, and the second session will run from November 14th through December 5th. The class meets at 9:00 a.m. Topics we will be exploring in confirmation class include the life and works of Jesus Christ, our Anglican heritage, history, and the Episcopal church, the Book of Common Prayer, the Bible, our church service, and the sacraments. Each confirmand will choose a mentor in the church and will be participating in the life of the church; it is a very exciting time for these young people.
